Programme Structure

The training of medical students is organized in three stages.

The first stage – preclinical training (two years) provides students with the necessary biological and medical knowledge, which is the basis for their clinical training as doctors.

Second stage – clinical training / four years / which aims to acquire knowledge for the diagnosis and treatment of the patient. After the third year, the training is carried out according to a cyclical system in which the exams are taken permanently during the academic year, after the completion of classes in the respective discipline.

The third stage – is a pre-graduate internship, which takes place in university hospitals and hospital facilities and aims at the application of the acquired knowledge in the patient’s bed and in the reception room.
